Mary Ward Week

This week we celebrated Mary Ward Week. Mary Ward was a woman of great courage and hope. She celebrated her birthday on the 23rd of January. She was born in 1585 and if she was alive today she would be 424 years old! Mary Ward was very much alive in Loreto Letterkenny this week. As part of our celebrations our students reflected on women who have inspired them. They also walked our very own Mary Ward walk and took part in a daily competition to celebrate the life of our foundress.
