Gaisce Covid-19 Update
Due to the current social distancing measures that are in place we will be unable to complete the Adventure Journey. Therefore all Transition Year Students who are participating in Gaisce are requested to submit a project to replace the Adventure Journey. This project can be in written, audio or visual format. (Minimum of 4 x A4 pages as a guide)
The project can be on any topic of your choice and here are a few suggestions but feel free to be as creative as you wish.
Sustainable Energy Goal
*What is Gaisce?
*Research a person, place or thing
*Do some arts or crafts and photograph the various stages
*Book review
*Book for students and pictures of your dishes!
Please email your completed projects to your Gaisce PAL.
Participants who are unable to do their community involvement, personal skill or physical recreation at this time, then why not get creative at home and don’t forget to record everything.
Community Involvement:
Clean the house for 1 hour a week
Phone/Facetime older relatives for 1 hour a week
Personal Skill: Work on a foreign language – resources online
Learn to knit, sew, paint – resources online
Physical Recreation: Jump on a trampoline
Practice football, basketball
Do your own workout – virtual class with friends
The important thing is to keep a record of everything, including photographs.
This will keep you busy and ensure that you can complete Gaisce. All TY students are encouraged to participate in this project.
